I was a bag of jelly beans. I found a large bag that was clear that you could see through, then blew up little bloons to put all inside of the huge bag, which you also cut out two small holes in the bottom for your legs to snuggly pull through it. On the front you can get a sign that says "jelly beans 25 cents" then wear all red clothing under neath it. It's awesome since when the balloons fall out ALL the kids have a blast popping them or playing with them while you are out trick or treating.

Feel free to use the idea or anyone else. It was a huge hit and a GREAT conversation peice!

Have an awesome halloween...

this year Conner is Mario, logan Wall-E [this has to be my BEST home made under $10 costume..stay tuned for pix], and Colin will possibly be a sock monkey :)C@mshafthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16067712550629262401noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7919072167002656543.post-78108539521856641802008-10-20T05:13:00.000-10:002008-10-20T05:13:00.000-10:00We were either going to have Jason be the bee keep...We were either going to have Jason be the bee keeper, and all of us be bees, except Alex would be Pooh Bear carrying a little pot of honey.

Then Nick decided he was dead set on being spiderman. So now we are a family of superheros. I am Batgirl because it was the only costume that didn't belong in a strip club, NIck is spiderman, Alex is Superman, and Jason is the bad guy in shackles and a black and white suit.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05956772793396108301noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7919072167002656543.post-30628159805635068682008-10-17T09:05:00.000-10:002008-10-17T09:05:00.000-10:00lol, i love this age! The cardboard will hold it's shape better, which always comes in handy with rough and tough little boys!!Chashttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10100485242532397690noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7919072167002656543.post-46836709661675384852008-10-16T16:28:00.000-10:002008-10-16T16:28:00.000-10:00Chas, that's pretty much what I'm doing for Conner...Chas, that's pretty much what I'm doing for Conner's costume! But its with poster board instead of felt. Although the felt would have looked cuter. He's now decided that he's a "silly cookie" and he has a pose he'll do and everything: he crosses his eyes and puts his hands up by his face all weird HAHAHAHHAHAA he's a total weirdo :pKelipsohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07737759787993480340noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7919072167002656543.post-88635282313513886822008-10-16T16:19:00.000-10:002008-10-16T16:19:00.000-10:00hey kels, if you want them to be cookies...you can...hey kels, if you want them to be cookies...you can do big light brown felt circles and put darker felt circles for the chips! Make them like the cardboard sign...one in the front, one in the back, straps over the shoulders, VIOLA!!

If you want to get REALLY fancy you can use the same theory, except sew them into *pillows*.....same felts and whatnot, just fluffy instead of flat!Chashttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10100485242532397690noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7919072167002656543.post-67496589920070623712008-10-16T14:49:00.000-10:002008-10-16T14:49:00.000-10:00Maybe he could be a straw?? I like the cookie monster idea. Or he could be the cow who provides the milk for the cookies.
